In the early months of nostr there were a lot of bigger zaps flying around. I sent a ton of zaps in the thousands of sats, and even a few hundred thousand sat zaps.

Now days people only flick pennies at each other and they do it less and less often. I don't know what changed.

With the explosion in popularity of #Monero lately however that generosity seems to be revived. The amounts are significant and they fly around freely, but with meaning. People are tipping for meaningful posts.

It's totally private and I think that's a good thing. If you feel like you need to get social credit for tipping someone, that says something about you as a person and it doesn't say anything good.
