By this shitty overestimating calculation, it only takes $250 to spam the network with more junk than has ever existed on Nostr

My point is that a fixed PoW would be naive. It would be akin to being able to move anywhere in space instantly at the same cost. The more you move the more you should spend.

A serious PoW implementation would challenge the sender with increasing difficulty making it exponentially harder (and costly) to keep up.
