No its not the same as in bitcoin. Since you cannot see the inputs and outputs you got to trust the senders proofs. And its hard to prove a negative. Similar to how its hard to prove you got enough entropy by looking at your private key. Another and maybe bigger issue is detecting implementation flaws due to complex proving systems. Anyway its an intresting topic.
