Personally, I agree FOSS is the ideal model but the reality is that over the long run, it’s unsustainable unless at the very least hosting, & development costs are covered.
Either the community has to set up, & voluntarily donate, or Vitor has to eat the costs.
And I don’t about you but me personally I stopped my crypto website project because I couldn’t eat costs.
Even me as someone who is a FOSS maximalist realize that everything has to be turned into a business model in order to survive unfortunately.
If you’re not shilling something then you’re losing time, & money for others who really don’t care that much.
Making it into a business model at least levels the playing field, gives people a good service, & keeps the dev alive, or at least out of the red on the project.
