I just encountered what I think is a pretty serious issue with the latest AxeOS version for the Bitaxe.

I just noticed that it seems to default to the initial setup state when my WiFi cuts out. My WiFi cuts out frequently and did long before I had a Bitaxe. I never saw this behavior until after I recently updated.

The Bitaxe screen said it was connected to my wifi yet the setup WiFi persisted even after a connection was available again (I only noticed because I saw a QR code was on the screen while cleaning my desk, which was unusual). This is pretty bad. Any of my neighbors could have connected to the Bitaxe setup and changed my payout address without me knowing unless I thought to check. They could also connect it to their own network and I wouldn't notice unless I read the tiny display daily, which I don't care to do.

It's absurd to do this after the initial setup. The Bitaxe should either wait for the connection to come back (like it used to, and things were fine for me) or give the user the option to secure subsequent connections to the setup WiFi if the connection signal drops for a time. And there should really be some physical action required for all of this anyway. Like a physical button that has to be held on the device (similar to a WiFi router). In the absense of that, at minimum a user setting that prevents this. A password for the setup WiFi at least. Honestly just about anything other than blasting out a signal that anyone can connect to and make changes to settings.
