I propose starting the year in March again, but making 13 months of 28 days each, with the 3 end months being:

Elevenstr Twelvstr Mikestr

That leaves the 365th day, which falls outside the months and is declared a public holiday to celebrate my victory and so will forever be called "Mike Day"

The leap year, every 4 years can be "Derek who?" day.
