The $20 plan is for the masses that will never use close to the limit. That's essentially the passive income version. The only way your going past that is if you are doing code or design, or some form of higher level workflow, at which point you are presumably making money off the ai. That's when they api bill you, because you are their main customer who treats them as a cost of business to account for. To be honest, I'm surprised they even offer the Max plans at all. The gap between pro and max seems entirely to be small businesses/professionals rather than normies.
