There are some devices I can’t add to my tailnet since I can’t install the tailscale client on them. Like a heater/bitcoin miner for example. I advertise a route to them on another device that has the tailscale app running. Basically I make the ip address of the bitcoin miner available through my a device that always stays on (ie server that runs the tailscale app) so I can access it outside my home network, just like the rest of my tailnet.
