I do see your point.

Financial institutions currently serve as on and off ramps, which allows Bitcoiners to interact with everyday world. Unfortunately, until every merchant accepts Bitcoin, we do need offramps to convert from Bitcoin to fiat and vice versa.

If these Bitcoin banks simply serve as readily accessible on and off ramps, making Bitcoin more accessible for the population, then I do think they have their good uses.

Believe me, I totally understand what you're saying, but unfortunately, if you go to El Salvador, it's hard to live on a Bitcoin standard.
