Just €269.99 on a quick search. No need to cool the whole house. just a small room, during heatwaves. I did that for a long time before i moved to a house with "real' AC.

About energy: You will use it like, 15 to 20 days a year. And just at times when you are at home. This device uses 780W. Even with expensive energy (say 0.50 euro per Kwh, which is more than the most expensive energy in europe), using for 12h a day 40 days a year, you get 374.4 kWh at just €187.20. Not expensive at all. And you probably wont need it for that many days, not for that much time. (i live i a tropical country and we use AC about 15 days a year only)
