My Buddy runs a hip camp setup with composting toilets.
He catches the waste in deep municipal plastic wheelie bins. The toilet building is raised & so he just takes a panel off the back of the toilet & easily swaps the full bin for an empty one.
He asks people to sprinkle sawdust on their deposit & I don't remember there being a smell (it's pretty airy although I don't think he's running a fan in it).
I think about his toilet a lot more than I should.
