Let’s see, if I had to put a number on it, I’d say results in 7 days? I wasn’t really paying attention much tbh until it just dawned on me that I’m no longer miserable 😂
I do eat vegetables. I tried going pure carnivore before but I couldn’t stick to it. I’ve eaten veggies my whole life and it was hard giving that up. I bounced back from the carnivore diet results which were great btw, and relapsed into my bad habits. I wanted something more sustainable so I heard about glycemic index and glycemic load. After learning about it, I start cutting out mostly high glycemic load foods - breads, pastas, rice (which as you know is hard to do in Japan considering it’s everywhere and served literally with everything 🤣), potatoes etc. I still kept lower to moderate glycemic load foods like sweet potatoes and soba for example.
But later I cut those out too for the most part. I still get carbs from some vegetables. I put milk in coffee like an idiot 😂 so that also adds up. I didn’t give up carbs entirely because it’s a bit more sustainable long term. I’d probably have even better results if I did though. Also, occasionally we cook things like curry which basically requires rice and I love curry so I try to just eat much less rice than usual. If wife makes soba I’ll eat it too. But I’ve told her explicitly many times now not to make me any ramen or anything rice and noodle heavy as I’ll refuse it 😆 and she went along.
My diet now consists of lots of meat, fish, vegetables except potatoes, soups, (except with potatoes). Lots of water, some supplemental whey isolate protein so I don’t have to eat giant amounts of meats, eggs.
I don’t go out to restaurants as often since they always serve a ton of fillers and a lot of food is deep fried which I also avoid now.
