It says a lot about the normalization of the lack of privacy. They don't even stop to think about it, just ree "that's not private"

It’s a real shame. I honestly didn’t expect that response.

This cuts out payment processors, potentially the partner bank/issuer, and all of their data sharing partners.

However, like with all things there are real trade offs. Booking directly gives much better support from airlines/hotels, better chance of actually receiving services, and loyalty benefits which can make travel more enjoyable.

Trade offs all the way down, but it’s certainly a useful service.
