Our time without a pastor in 2024 was also blessedly short.

I know some pulpits that have been sitting empty for a few years, though.

Empty pulpits for that long can be a real danger, because churches become less stringent on their standards and often make compromises that they shouldn't, and then we just have to hope that the presbytery catches it during floor examination.
