Great question. I think there is different preference for different things. I live in a city and therefore, using a car is a very rare thing for me.

So I like to rent it.

Maby other stuff like clothes or a phone, which I use every day, I like to own them. Other stuff I might can also co-own through an asociation. For housing this is my preference.

Mostly since asociations much rather form communities than people in private appartments.
