Hmmm… WebMCP has the potential to add a new paradigm how we are going to interact with a lot of ‘websites’. I can see the potential that agents will act like a proxy to interact with a website with that tool. To be honest, there are quite a lot of website which I have to visit quite often (to download documents for my administration for example) but I don’t like to visit (because every time I’m just executing the same actions to download that invoice). WebMCP will be a new kind of API build for the agents you just just give some language instructions. As a webdeveloper I can imagine working on WebMCP integrations on certain websites, because the market is being flooded with AI stuff (although I’m not always fan of these trends, because many things are not serving us).
