medium chilli heat with smokey undertones, pairs great burgers and steak
Details
- ⏲️ Prep time: 20 mins
- 🍳 Cook time: 45 mins
- 🍽️ Servings: 6 jars
Ingredients
- 1kg chopped KYC free nostr:npub15369wu3wzzar5fclhecyqfv683x69n6nhlg7rxqnsg2dydgxflpq3apswl
- 450g peeled, diced apple
- 3 large onions cut small
- 1 medium peeled and deseeded marrow
- 200g raisins
- 500ml spiced vinegar
- 3 cloves of smoked garlic
- 500g sugar
- 1 tbspn smoked paprika
- pinch sea salt
- 1 tbspn chipotle flakes
- 1/2 tsp cayenne
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a large heavy based pan and cook uncovered slowly until thick enough that a wooden spoon pulled through the mixture reveals the pan bottom
- in the meantime sterilse 6 jars
- pot up whilst hot with new lids and set aside to mature for at least 2-3 weeks (years is better!)
- no need to can the jars but make sure to store in the fridge once opened
