no harm in throwing petrol on the tire fire anyway i say. as someone who has spent a lot of time learning how the protocol works, and having been hired to try and fix a fork previously for this exact reason (malicious miners economically scalping the fork, parallelcoin) to make one that just continues bitcoin instead, is a challenge i can't resist trying to make happen.

blake2b coin won't deprecate taproot (not allow new spends) or disable scripting that with taproot can make it into a CDBC. that's an ideological position i hold, but not purely ideological because i've read Mises magnum opus Human Action and i think that the whole point is exactly "you don't need central banks" and that ends the lever the West has on the rest of the world altogether. little countries can adopt it and kick out their central bank (not likely to happen in big ones) and then make their own layer 2 on top. between two such small countries, there is a settlement layer. the treasury people will love that. no more being fucked with by IMF world bank pigs.
