This island also has a mountain range near the size of the Rockies and a > 16k foot peak, glaciers and regular snow.

This is all in the middle of the world’s third largest rain forest. It is so inhospitable that there are massive tracts of unexplored land there. There are also at least 10 un-contacted there.
