Fair enough. Then it's still priorities I guess. And maybe the idea of "rich" has changed too. I mean we can graph and chart what inflation has done to our money. Unless you have been holding assets (which gen Z was simply too young to have been holding) the cost of living ~doubled in 5 years.

Maybe the idea of 1-2 kids and a some money to retire on is focusing too far into the future. Like id guess Id rather be able to give a better life to 1-2 children than tradeoff between across 3+. I mean I don't think it's a disputed perception that the more of a head-start you can give your kids the better life they will have. Education, me living long enough to give them that and so on.

Id have to do some more napkin math, but I wonder how much a fatherless houshold affects a man's perception of raising children. I mean I know I'm scared of dying and leaving my household under water, but that's a me specific problem XD
