True but also when you take it is important. If you take it before the workout (or labour) you get insane power boost energy on the muscles. Post work out creatine is great for recovery.
Balance is everything here, so either before or after not both times.
Water is good too, but remember creatine doesn't build muscle, it just adds water to the muscles which inflates them and makes you look bigger.
