That makes way more sense. Unfortunate, but makes sense. I did notice the pricing now too, I guess they focused so hard on data infra, tcp/ip is cheaper, more secure, and arguably more reliable., so they probably want to phase it out. There is a good chance I'm going to switch to a data-only SIM some point in the future, because my SIP provider has free sms and unlimited minutes in the US. None of which i really use, but I get it "own" my number instead of it being tied to a SIM or device. The data sims are going for like $20/mo vs the $75 or whatever legacy providers are charging these days.
