But that's fair. Once you've become familiar with something, you can then decide whether or not to use it. The problem with Nostr is that everyone's a developer and heads-down on their own thing, so there's little bandwidth left for developing basic familiarity with other people's products.
It's not really a Nostr-specific problem. That's why there are these writers' groups.
