tl;dr - I’m going to be shifting the tone and focus of this identity and my content moving forward. TBD.

They say the secret of change is to focus your energy NOT on fighting the old, but on building the new. I’ve been mulling over the future of this nym for some time now, and posted something to that effect a few months ago. The time has come for me to make a distinct shift away from “the old” and toward “the new.” I am not actually certain what “new” means yet, but it will involve a different direction in the type and substance of the content I post. It might even mean a name change at some point. Time will tell.

What I am certain of is the “old” I am shifting away from. I created this nym during the 2020-2021 bull run as a fun way to engage on Twitter as I learned about bitcoin, and that carried over into Nostr after moving here. It has genuinely been fun, and I appreciate everyone who has helped make it so. But the constant toxicity, fighting, and arguing (plenty of my own making, admittedly 😂) have just gotten old. As much as I enjoy a good sparring match, it has largely become unproductive and increasingly a distraction from the more important things in my personal life. Continuing this identity is not where I want to focus my limited time and energy online.

I love Nostr and Bitcoin, and I love the friends I’ve made in the process of using both. I will continue to stack, to zap, and even to post content as I figure out what that looks like moving forward. But it’s time for me to let “the old” Corndalorian go. https://blossom.primal.net/e08ef2bd929324fe03458e10c2ce12dbae1a6703dcdb558c7865bbca3a2da1f1.jpg
