I'm sure proprietary firmware somewhere is the problem. It usually is. I've learned after some really hard years that you pretty much have to buy specific hardware to live how I do. Which sucks sometimes honestly. It usually means I'm behind on hardware. But that's kind of okay. I usually benefit by paying less and being able to deploy those funds elsewhere.
