I already spend it regularly enough. My pizza day this year was celebrated buying pizza from my Zeus wallet with my own channel on a node on my phone.

If you compare to custodial fiat solutions you're never going to be happy. Bitcoin isn't for everyone and that's as it should be. Most people don't want freedom. They want someone to call when shit breaks.

We'll get covenants in time but there's a lot of ways to do it. Taproot was rushed through with unforeseen consequences. There's zero rush and plenty of functionality that is at yet barely being used.

This thing's only 17 years old. There's a lot of time in the next thousand years to get it right and fiat isn't going to suddenly stop failing. The pressure it applies as it does will serve as a great teacher as to what we need rather than what the next cool shiny thing might be.
