I just experienced an error in the matrix... I can't make this make sense... So, the lab ended at 10am, so I go to the library and studied for 1 hour,...
So sometimes brains can "protect" us by basically neuralizer-ing ourselves. So in high stress scenarios (like a test) our brain is already not liking the stress levels. If the conversation touched on anything that was also high stress your brain can just erase that part of the conversation.
It's very confusing but fairly common esp if you have a history of trauma. If you have recent trauma like a stroke, then I'd imagine that would happen more often. Or if you've never had it happen before then WELCOME TO THE TIME WARP CLUB!!!!
At least you noticed it. That's the most important step to diminishing it's occurrences and being present more often. I often set 15 minute timers on my phone during stressful days to make sure I'm not clicking out without noticing.
My sister doesn't notice it's happening and swears it doesn't happen to her at all because she's not "crazy" like me. But she had a whole episode in a college class, an ambulance was needed to be called, and her brain was just like nah that never happened. Until she got the bill for the ambulance and had to confront reality 🤣😭🚑🤑
