Well, the ability to route through SOCS 5 proxy was just added, and it works great.

I've got it monitoring my #Monero node at http://LongV3.onion:18089/get_info

I did mention to the developer that on step 2 of the configuration, there's an option to test and see if you get a response back, but there's no ability to turn on a proxy until step 4, and they are going to fix that in the next release.
