I find testing someone to be a manipulative and dishonest behavior. When I catch people doing it to me I am totally turned off and see them as manipulative and probably conniving and lose trust in them as a genuine and straightforward person. If they will do that, then they will likely engage in other subterfuge and I will not put my trust in someone who shows those tendencies. Just my own standard.
