Like they do nothing to actually recruit me for anything. I do all the work finding the jobs, apply, and they just read me the job details I already read and state compensation at me over the phone. I can't move past them unless I accept whatever terms they read to me.\n\nThis seems less like recruitment and more like dictatorial filtration that could have been a web form before the application. Maybe it's just my area, but recruiting and the job process has become asinine and time consuming. I'm always open to the fact that I don't know everything, but something has definitely changed in the post coof era job market. It feels colder and more robotic than ever. The hoops seem infinite.\n\nMaybe it's just a tough market with lots of people to go through? I vaguely remember the 2008 years feeling similar, except back then people my age didn't even get a call.
