If you are rolling dice and didn’t create the full 24 word list by hand and then enter those words into the restore wallet function, isn’t it pretty much security theatre? You’re still creating something using software.
Seems it was only useful in the Coldcard because it was a different software path outside of the deficient code. How do you know the next incident won’t be where the dice roll path is the one broken on a different hardware wallet.
I’ve yet to see a cryptography professional who says they would use or trust true entropy created by hand?
