I've been thinking of making some medieval peasant bread. Not sure how close I can get though without a flour mill and some heirloom wheat and barley.

That stuff was like 30% protein and full of fiber...nothing like bread these days.

I did try growing wheat a few years back (allegedly -- it's technically been illegal since FDR's presidency) and the crop got completely devoured by sparrows in like 3 days.

Farming aint easy. Especially with hand tools and no chemicals.
