In my experience "the majority" doesn't gravitate toward value.

For example, the trending list screenshot that's been recently posted contains people I had never heard of before Nostr. After seeing some of their notes forwarded so much, I started following. After some time passed, I noticed they don't add value to my feed. I don't think I follow any of them anymore. They're boring. I can't figure why they have a large following.
