Most dogs probably eat better than the kids in many families.

Mine get a bottomless supply of Blue Buffalo grain-free kibble. They don't overeat because they know there will always be food in their bowls so they don't have food anxiety. They get whatever scraps or leftovers from my meals. Nothing goes to waste. I fed my last dog this way his whole life and he lived to fifteen and a half years which is pretty old for a large breed.
