But my indoor AC also has a filter. And I always assumed it was moreso to protect the equipment. But the difference between moving slightly dusty air and not also seems negligible to an HVAC circuit.

And on this subject, now that my skin is actually pro-UV light I have been thinking of removing the tint on my windows. Or if there's some kind of magic filmthat only blocks infrared and allows everything else.
