Bitcoin, as we all know, has an incentive structure more suited to peace, but I just realized that gold and silver had been stolen from indigenous individuals through conquest and would-be criminals like that would have much less of an incentive to commit such crimes on a Bitcoin standard. There would not be any monetary medium they'd have that criminals would want. Should we ever encounter an alien civilization in the future that is more primitive than us, let's say, in a few centuries, and they use gold as money, we wouldn't have to rely on a non-statist world to enforce that these aliens' rights are respected to prevent theft of the gold. The gold will barely have any monetary premium whatsoever, and the most profitable action, even for people willing and able to commit crimes like conquest, will be to trade with the aliens.
