To all the codemonkeys out there hopeless about their job prospects:

Before I got a claude subscription I spent 0 hours a week coding. I knew how to code, I never had enough time to actually build what I was planning on building and kept putting stuff off as they were ancillary at best to my main revenue source.

After getting a Claude subscription I spend 10+ hours a week "coding".

Every small and medium business is thinking the same thing. You have 20x as many potential customers as a freelance developer, you just have to charge 1/10 the price, but if you are efficient, you can still make more money than before since you are way faster.

Even if your a W-2pilled matrix slave, these opportunities will trickle down to you, as long as you are willing to broaden your job description and make yourself useful in more ways. Companies will no longer have an IT team and pay some company for a website. Every small IT dept will require coding knowledge and you will develop the companies webstlite and mobile app.

It will be like knowing a foreign language. Useful differentiator in any position, but not strictly its own job in most companies.
