I once updated the bios of my ASUS A8V. Went well to, USB became faster on boot which was nice. Then my cmos crashed and it triggered a bug that gave an incorrect voltage error and refused to boot the PC. I had to search every bios for that string and landed on the exact one I updated away from. Now I know why that one was on the board. Painstakenly downgraded it past all the faulty errors, managed to downgrade it. Completely smooth since. Now I dont update the bios on retro tech.
