I'm thinking the same thing. If it's arbitrary why is everyone losing their mind over this?

My guess is that this fight has more to do with how node implementations are managed than it does with the content of the argument.

In other words to do with people's desire to be in control. I could be reading this wrong and I'm honestly just interested in learning, but the level of immaturity I'm witnessing leads me to believe this is about ego, not code.
