I had not DM'd for a long time until last week. Even when DMing from Amethyst to another Amethyst (and 0xChat) user, it borked.

Seeing devs brag about using the latest DM nip doesn't mean squat. If you want reliable 1:1 communication (and why wouldn't you?), Nostr is a horrible option.
