I say that hat's looking a little more gray, with shades of red.

Please inform or reform my ignorance. My understanding is : •White Hat=Good guy hacker, hacks but returns finds just to show vulnerability within systems

•Grey Hat=Swings both ways on hacking, may return funds, may expose risk, may fly to Tahiti

•Red Hat=Here is where the confusion begins, hacks everything they can, within a certain framework/institution, sets as many fires as possible for the purpose of exposing internal risks & securing systems. Bonus: having a fancy handle that sounds like a fireman

•Black Hat=Cold Card instigators; completely soulless hackers, spoilers, destructors with no good intentions beyond their own welfare
