When I think about all the things that have made me feel pride and accomplished, it's overcoming difficulties. Things that I was once afraid of. The more I overcome these things, the less fear I have. The less doubt I have. For example, it was really scary for me to think about fiat, inflation, and covid. Those things terrified me. But the more I leaned in to that fear, the more I was able to find solutions. That grew my confidence. When I found bitcoin, it was also scary. Is this really legit? Will this save me? I was once again terrified. As I faced that fear, I became more knowledgeable. That made the fear go away. The problem is that this is a never ending process. Seems to me that this is Nietzche's philosophy on the ubermensche. The man seeking the highest standard of living by overcoming these things. The ultimate version of self.
