I was also a big Jane's Addiction fan until they came out with Ritual de lo Habitual. Primus blew my mind with Frizzle Fry. When my friends and I first heard Pretty Hate Machine, the heavy bass made us wonder if it might be too close to rap 🤣 ... which we hated. Later, I found out it was because we didn't have access to underground rap. We only heard was was on the radio and Yo MTV Raps 🤮
