It took me years to get the balls to plant 1 but I now have 4 in the ground.
The last 2 came from a nearby bitcoiner so they're my favourites even though they're still settling in.
One is Bambusa Nana (Thai Beauty) which grows quite tall & has similar leaves to yours. It has really dense culms (only a small air cavity) & tasty shoots.
The other one I got was Dendrocalamus Asper (Green Asper) which is a giant bamboo. It took me a while to find a spot to put it.
They both seem good for building, eating the shoots & of course making bio char. I've propagated 2 from the Nana while it was still in the pot. The 2 I tried on the Green Asper failed but I've got 2 more on it & it's in the ground now. I'm quietly confident they'll take.
