My general impression is that people who own quite a bit of property are welcoming the transition to oligarchy (or, best case, aristocracy), as they are effectively lords of the manor.

Everyone else hates it. The class system will become entrenched, as property again trumps labor. Pun intended. Even if you own property, your children might not and your grandchildren probably won't, as you need to own enough property, to keep it.

But this is a choice our society is making. It isn't inevitable.
