Two words explain it all.

Self Interest

Satoshi built it all on those two words. I am a miner, I didn't go to a meeting, it was just in my self interest to do nothing and against my self interest to spend 30 seconds to change my mining pool.

There is no more to it. It is that simple.

I have heard many people say "Satoshi expected people to be honest actors", this is beyond FUCKIN STUPID.

You can't build a monetary system on honest actors but 1000s of individuals acting in their own self interest with a majority necessary for change, that you can do.

Everyone spouting the "six big miners" line is either ignorant, lying or both.
