They can't be a disaster the way home, car, credit card, and so on can because they can't be discharged even with bankruptcy. Instead they just silent...

That's a myth. They actually can be discharged in some cases, but I'll concede those cases are rare (although maybe not with the right economic environment and judges).

Anyway, that's my point. I think it's possible these loans lead to unexpected crisis, even if indirectly. Especially because the degrees are less likely than ever to pay for themselves and there's no requirement for the gov loans to pay only for economically viable classes. It's basically the fucking wild west.
