My favorite guide was a laminated pamphlet that my local national park had in their gift shop. They were small enough to fit in my hiking pack and had good color pictures and were locally specific as the mushrooms change region to region.

I would also recommend taking a local class or some places even have mushroom meetups. It's much easier to learn this from someone with experience rather than from books or online.
