Also, the MO of these types of operatives (literal money makers and protectors of the regime) is to divide and conquer all upstarts that could dethrone them. In terms of bitcoin intgihk that would be the following goals:

  • delay or precent mass adoption of bitcoin
  • divide bitcoin developers, node runners, and users
  • do not allow bitcoin to become peer to peer digital cash that is cheap to send back and fourth anonymously without a 3rd party

I think this was largely successful but I'm not mad when number go up.
