Really cool stuff. Sometimes having limitations can force more creativity. Do you also only have 8 tracks to record? I don't think we would be able to live with only 8 tracks haha! Do you record and play all the instruments as well? That's cool that you mix yourself too. The complete DIY package. We do that too, and it's an art all unto itself. So much learning and trial and error. We haven't used it for anything we have released yet, but we have a hybrid analogue board that we picked up used and are trying to figure out for our future recordings. especially for drums it really brings something out in them. Also being able to close mic the entire kit is nice. For most of what we recorded so far we were only able to use 4 mics on the drums: kick, snare and L/R overheads.
